“Lexical chunks” is the plural form of lexical chunk — a prefabricated multi-word unit stored in memory and retrieved as a whole rather than assembled word by word. Examples include fixed expressions (“nice to meet you”), collocations (“make a decision”), semi-fixed frames (“the fact that ___”), and longer lexical bundles (“as far as I can tell”).
